CAMP INDIA ADVENTURES

Mesmerizing Pong Dam

The Pong Dam was made on the Beas River,  upstream of Talwara in Himachal Pradesh. The Dam was constructed to serve the purpose of generating hydroelectricity and land irrigation. The raised water level thus invariably created an artificial lake which has given name "Maharana Prateap Sagar". The specialty of this lake is that it is a sanctuary for birds of numerous species.

The another attraction of this place is "Regional Water Sports Centre" established by Himachal Pradesh Government, where a team of very well trained and qualified instructors are giving there services. The institute offers focused activities such as Swimming, Kayaking, Canoeing, Rowing, Sailing, Water Skiing & Surfing and Water Safety & Rescue. Training Programmes are organized in Water Safety and Rescue Measures with Three-tier water sports course-

  • The Basic Course
  • The Intermediate Course
  • The Advance Course
