About the Destination

The Pong Dam in Kangra district,The manmade reservoir of the dam is 42 km in length and 2km in width on the Beas river.

The Regional Pong Dam: There is great opportunity for lovers of water sports at water sports centre here is a pioneer in these specialized activities. There is swimming, canoeing, rowing, sailing, and water skiing- all competitive events. Training is also imparted in water safety and rescue measures.

Kangra valley : Kangra valley is one of the most picturesque, green and luxuriant valleys of lower Himalayas sheltered by the sublime Dhauladhar range. This is one of the most important and famous districts of Himachal Pradesh due to its popularity. Kangra is mainly famous for its natural beauty and tea gardens. Number of people visit here every year.

Bir Billing ( Height 8000 ft) : Bir is a village located in the west of Joginder Nagar Valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh in northern India.

Mostly referred as "Paragliding Capital of India", Bir is also a noted centre for ecotourism, spiritual studies and meditation. While Billing is the takeoff site for paragliding and Bir for landing; collectively it is known "Bir Billing".

McLeod Ganj : it is a suburb of Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is known as "Little Lhasa" or "Dhasa“.

Kareri Lake (Height 3000 Mtr.)

Kareri Lake is a high altitude, shallow, fresh water lake south of the Dhauladhar range approximately 9 km North West of Dharamsalain Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh. Its surface is 3000 metres above the sea level. Snow melting from the Dhauladhar range serves as the source of the lake and a stream, Nyund is the outflow. Since the source is fresh melting snow and the lake is shallow, water visibility is very high and in most places, the lake bed can be seen.

Kareri lake is best known for being a trekking destination in the Dhauladhars. The lake remains frozen from early December to March–April. There is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Shakti on a hilltop overlooking the lake.. A few gaddi kothis are present on the other side of the lake, an area which is used by the gaddis as a grazing ground for their animals. Kareri Lake serves as a base for trekking further into the Dhauladhar and onward to Chamba and Bharmour via the Minkiani Pass (4250m) and Baleni Pass (3710m).

Our effort is to give a clear idea about various aspects of the trip to avoid any misunderstanding during the tour. We request you to please read all the information given here carefully.

Equipments  :  All camping equipment like Life jacket, helmet,   carry mats, tents,  sleeping bag,& utensils will be provided by us.

Luggage & Porters : Travel Light ! A Rucksack is what we suggest.  But even duffle bag will do….But NO fancy trolley  suitcases.  please!

Fitness : Most people in reasonably good health should not have any problems with most of the activities through the tour. But good conditioning will allow you to enjoy the walks at high altitude without being totally fatigued. 

Average Temperature :During October, trekkers can experience a good weather, with little snowfall. With the onset of October, the day temperature is hovering around 12-18 °C but the evening starts getting comparatively colder with (- 6) to 4 °C.

Delay & Unexpected Hindrance : Delays are expected on account of roadblock & weather conditions. Our effort will be to continue with the trip as per the schedule & make you as comfortable as possible, But in such situations we may have to compromise on the campsite / hotels & adjust to these situations then & there.

Comfortable trekking shoes, Personal medication, Binoculars, Camera, goggles, raincoat, Water bottle, Petroleum jelly/ Vaseline/ cold cream, Ball point.
